POWER STEERING FLUID

Unless a hose fails or steering gear has to be replaced, power steering fluid is another motor fluid that is hardly ever changed. The general practice is to replace the fluid when pump or steering gear has failed or being replaced as the old fluid is likely to contain debris that can damage the new steering pump or gear

Manufacturers rarely ever give a recommended car maintenance service for steering fluid but you should check the fluid level in the pump reservoir periodically. If you notice a low fluid level, the likely cause is a leakage on the hose or a seal somewhere in the steering system

Whenever the need arise and you have to change the steering fluid, always refer to the owner's manual to see the recommended fluid for your vehicle

BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

When your brake warning light is on, it could mean a number of things, i. If the light is on all the time, it could mean you simply forgot to release the parking brake ii.
