FUEL GAUGE PROBLEMS

A defective fuel  gauge will give inaccurate readings and they can make driving frustrating. If the readings on the fuel gauge is always the same, always empty or full, gives wrong readings all the time then you are dealing with a faulty fuel gauge
 The possible causes includes
  • defective voltage regulator
  • bad gauge
  • bad wiring between gauge and sending unit
  • faulty sending unit
It is most likely a defective voltage regulator if the temperature and oil pressure gauges are also affected but if only the fuel gauge has issues then the problem is rooted in the gauge itself, the sending unit or the wiring
